Nationals of certain countries can visit Singapore for up to three months without a visa but will need to be granted a work visa or permit to take up employment.
VISA Requirements:
Foreigners holding travel documents issued by the following countries will require a visa to enter Singapore:
Afghanistan, Algeria, Bangladesh,Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Egypt, India, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Myanmar, People's Republic of China, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia and Yemen.
National of countries not mentioned above will not need a visa to visit Singapore.

Employment Pass Information
Foreigners who wish to work in Singapore should apply for a work pass. Applicants typically need a sponsor (Locally Registered Company) to apply for a Employment Pass. More information about Eligibility, Rules and Application forms can be found at:
P and Q Pass (Employment Pass):
These are work permits classifications for foreign professionals, manager, executives and specialists.
Applicants will be assessed based on their salary, qualifications, work experience and nature of job, and other factors. EP applicants must be minimally paid a fixed monthly salary of SGD 2,500. EP holders qualify for dependant privileges.

Personalised Employment Pass (PEP): This is a special Employment Pass issued without a sponsor for selected overseas foreign professionals, EP holders and foreign graduates from institutions of higher learning in Singapore. Overseas foreign professionals must have a last drawn overseas fixed monthly salary of at least S$7,000 or have worked in Singapore previously on a P1 Pass. Existing P2 and Q1 Pass holders must earn a minimum fixed salary of S$30,000 in the preceding year and have worked at least 2 years on a P2 Pass or 5 years on a Q1 Pass.
Existing and new P1 Pass holders will be accorded in-principle approval for the PEP upon application. The PEP is valid for 5 years (non-renewable).
